Powering emco Connect: one cloud for five e-scooter brands
emco's new platform for five scooter brands runs on c.technology.

We're proud to share that emco electroroller GmbH has chosen c.technology to power emco Connect, a new digital mobility platform for its family of electric scooter brands. Together with emco and controller manufacturer FEO, we're building the connected-vehicle foundation behind emco's technology offensive, starting with the unu brand.
For us, this partnership is a clear signal of where connected two-wheeler mobility is heading: away from isolated, model-by-model electronics and toward a shared platform that links vehicles, riders, dealers and service partners in one ecosystem. emco Connect is exactly that kind of foundation, and we're providing the cloud and platform layer that makes it work.
What c.technology brings to emco Connect
emco Connect runs on our connected-vehicle platform. We provide the full stack that sits between the vehicle and the digital services around it:
- Cloud infrastructure to securely ingest, store and process vehicle data at scale
- Connectivity and fleet management, so each vehicle can be connected, monitored and managed centrally
- Digital applications and services, including the rider app and tools for dealers and service partners, built on top of the platform
- A technical foundation for continuous development, so new connected features can be rolled out over the lifetime of the vehicle
In practice, this means emco and its brands don't have to build and maintain their own connected-vehicle backend. They get a proven platform and can focus on the product and customer experience, while we handle the cloud, data and connectivity layer underneath.
This is the same kind of platform work behind our collaboration with Bosch Mobility, for which both companies received the 2026 IAA Open Innovation Award in the «Scaling of the Year» category.
One platform, five brands
What makes emco Connect compelling is its scope. The platform is designed to become the shared technological foundation for five electric scooter brands: unu, emco, Kumpan, Dreems and e-Schwalbe.
For an OEM group, a multi-brand platform changes the economics of going connected. Instead of five separate stacks to build, secure and maintain, there is one, with brand-specific apps and experiences on top. New features, security updates and digital services can be developed once and made available across the portfolio.
The launch begins with unu: future unu Pro scooters are set to ship with the new Smart Display and the new controller generation as standard, connected to emco Connect out of the box. In later stages, the platform is planned to extend to the emco, Kumpan, Dreems and e-Schwalbe brands.
Built for the installed base, not just new vehicles
One decision in emco Connect stands out to us: connectivity isn't reserved for new vehicles. The new technology will also be offered as a retrofit for existing unu Pro scooters, so riders can upgrade through official service partners to the new controller generation, the Smart Display and emco Connect.
We think this is the right way to approach connected mobility. A connected-vehicle platform is far more valuable when it can reach the vehicles already on the road, not only the next model year. It extends the life of existing scooters, brings a larger fleet onto one platform, and lets riders step into the digital ecosystem without buying a new vehicle. Sustainability and customer value pull in the same direction.
It also reinforces an important point emco makes clearly: emco Connect is the officially operated, supported and continuously developed platform for these vehicles. Keeping the installed base on an official, secure platform matters for both safety and the long-term experience.
What's next
emco Connect is a strong example of what our platform is built for: giving an OEM group a fast, scalable route to connected vehicles across multiple brands, for new and existing vehicles alike. Rolling out first on unu and then extending to emco, Kumpan, Dreems and e-Schwalbe, it's a foundation designed to grow.
We're excited to be emco's platform and cloud partner on this journey, and we'll share more as emco Connect reaches the road and expands across the brand portfolio.
