From factory to rider: what it takes to arrive in Europe
Building great motorcycles is no longer the hardest part. Winning European riders is.

Walk through the halls of EICMA in Milan and one thing is impossible to miss: the show has become the launch pad for a new generation of brands. Manufacturers from China and India are presenting bikes that compete on design, performance and price. Many of them come to Milan with the same goal: to build a lasting business in Europe.
The bikes are ready. The question is whether everything around them is.
Three hurdles that have nothing to do with the bike
European riders don't just buy a motorcycle. They buy into a brand, a dealer they trust and a service experience that lasts for years. For new brands, three hurdles stand between a strong product and a strong market position.
- Dealers and service. Most new brands enter Europe through importers and a young dealer network. Without shared tools, every dealer works differently. Service history, warranty cases and recalls get lost between systems, and the rider feels it first.
- The relationship with the rider. Established brands stay connected to their customers through an app that shows ride data, service reminders and updates. New brands often have no direct line to the rider at all. Once the bike leaves the showroom, the customer belongs to the dealer, or to nobody.
- Data and trust. European customers and regulators expect vehicle data to be handled transparently and hosted in Europe. A connectivity backend designed for the home market rarely meets these expectations out of the box.
One platform for OEM, dealer and rider
c.technology is the connected vehicle platform built for exactly this moment. It connects manufacturer, dealer and rider on one layer and launches under the OEM's own brand.
- Owner app: ride data, vehicle status, service booking and updates, in the brand's look and feel.
- Dealer & Service Hub: one shared tool for the whole network, from service history and warranty to recalls.
- OTA updates and connected services: new features and fixes reach the bike without a workshop visit, and open the door to subscription models.
- Hosted in Europe: vehicle data is hosted in Europe, with the transparency European customers expect.
The platform integrates with existing telematics units, so manufacturers don't need to redesign their hardware to go live. Brands such as LiveWire already rely on c.technology to stay connected with their riders.
