One login, three brands

A dealer with several brands is the normal case, and the access you grant costs it nothing.

One login, three brands

Take a dealer with three brands in the showroom and one workshop behind it. The same mechanics service all three. The same front desk answers every owner who calls.

If each manufacturer brought its own portal, that dealer would have three logins, three inboxes and three ways to look up a fault code. On c.technology it has one.

One account, each brand's vehicles

A dealer can be a partner of many manufacturers at once, and access is decided per vehicle. In one account it sees each brand's vehicles that were granted to it, in one place: the battery, the fault codes, the service history and the requests owners send from the brand's app.

Each manufacturer sees only its own. One brand never sees the vehicles of another, even when both stand in the same workshop on the same day. And a dealer never sees what another dealer sold.

That holds because every request is checked three ways: may this person do it, can the vehicle do it, and was it sold to this organisation. The answer is worked out per vehicle and on every request, not once at login.

Why it is the normal case

We built the Partner Hub for the dealer with several brands because that is the normal case, not the exception. A manufacturer's service promise runs through dealers it does not own. Those dealers decide which brands they carry, and the manufacturer is one of them.

If working with one manufacturer means one more login, the service promise depends on whether someone remembers to check it. In one account, the request from a rider of brand A sits next to the job for brand B, and both get answered.

Why the access is free

The access a manufacturer grants is free for the dealer, always. A free tier lets every partner take part, so the service promise to a customer works through all of them and never depends on a dealer's subscription.

Dealers that want more can take one of two paid tiers. When they do, half of what they pay goes back to the manufacturers they work with, split equally between them. For a dealer with three brands on a paid tier, each manufacturer gets a sixth of what the dealer pays.

For the manufacturer that is a simple trade. Every partner can take part at no cost, and when one pays for more, part of it comes back.
